Music creation is centred around a suite of sequencers to drive some great sounding producers - Kurzweil and Akai samplers, together with Roland, Korg and Emu synths. Session musicians give extra life to the recording.

The music is written for your project, to your brief - and part of the pleasure in writing soundtracks is the challenge in meeting that brief.

I have a modern air-conditioned studio, consisting of a writing room where I can compose on a high specification MIDI set-up and a  live room for recording 'real' instruments onto digital tape. Various state of the art expansion units and samplers produce music that sounds great. Add in some real players and the effect is fabulous. A Yamaha 02R desk brings automation to the mixes, giving fast A/B comparisons. I also use a digital editor with optical storage for fast, reliable editing of mixed audio. All of the equipment is synchronised by use of MIDI and/or SMPTE, so that accurate lock to picture is achieved.

I hold a large sound effects library, but usually have fun creating the 'right' effect. Most projects are recorded completely in-house; whatever the style… classical, jazz, house, pop, fantasy, synthetic, Country & Western... you hum it and I'll recreate it. Where appropriate, top session musicians are used to give the track that extra lift.

Final delivery can be in a variety of formats - from time coded DAT to mp3 files sent over ISDN lines.
